Black Susan, my free-range hen who lives among my wildflowers, has found a pretty sweet spot.
Nestled in the shade of Bachelor’s Buttons, Lupine, Red Clover, Shasta Daisies and Blue Flax, she ‘secretly’ lays her eggs.
The Blue Flax petals line her nest with periwinkle beauty.
If I were a hen, this is where I’d be.
Farm fresh eggs from such a lovely spot- simply wonderful!
