Turkey decisions are on the table.
Do we continue to wait and see if Lulu lays eggs for us, or harvest her for meat? (Our original plan)
She’s taken on a decidedly Thanksgiving turkey shape in recent weeks.
She also waddles and has a harder time supporting her own weight.
And she EATS. A TON.
Stealing nibbles from every animal’s food dish that she can. Plus eating more than most of the chickens combined.
The thing is, as I size her up, trying to make a decision about her fate; I’d almost swear she knows something’s up.
She’s got this wary look in her eye.
She’s happily free-ranging all over the farm and living a very good life.
Whatever we decide, she’ll be treated with care.
